SCHOOL OF LAY LEADERSHIP

Responding to the expressed need of our lay leaders for an archdiocesan formation program that answers basic questions in the Catholic faith, we are opening a SCHOOL OF LAY LEADERSHIP (SLL) to help our pastoral leaders understand the teachings of our Catholic faith and equip them with skills to share such teachings with their fellow Catholics.

Every parish can send ten leaders who can diligently complete the ten sessions and who are equipped with skills to assume pastoral leadership in the community. The parish leaders in the Vicariates of Queen of Apostles and Queen of the Holy Rosary will meet at the Lay Formation Center in Bonuan Gueset. The parish leaders from the Vicariates of Queen of Peace and Queen of Angels will meet at the parish formation hall of St Dominic Parish in San Carlos City.

There will be no fees for the courses. I will be the teacher facilitator for all the ten sessions. It will also be my opportunity to regularly interact with our Catholic laity.

Here are the dates for the formation programs:

Vicariates of Queen of Apostles and Queen of the Holy Rosary:

May 29, June 19, July 17, July 24, August 7, September 4, September 11, September

18, October 30 and November 13 starting promptly at 8:00 am until 10:30 am.

Vicariates of Queen of Peace and Queen of Angels

June 5 at 8:00 am, June 19, July 17, July 24, August 7, September 4, September 11,

September 18, October 30 and November 13 starting promptly at 2:00 pm until 4:30

pm.

The goal of this School of Formation is to train new leaders in our parishes outside the "traditional pool" of liturgical ministers or catechists. I encourage you to choose from the uninvolved yet gifted members of the parish community.
